WORKSHOPS
Michal Heriban has been involved in education in the fields of contemporary dance techniques, physical theater, and visual arts since 2013, when he started as a lector at the dance school elledanse. With his background in pedagogy, scenography, contemporary dance, and over 10 years of theatrical performance experience, he has been invited to teach at dance conservatories, University of Performing Arts (HAMU), and at contemporary dance and theater festivals as a lecturer for intensive workshops focused on movement, partnering, physical theater, voice, prop work, and visual arts.

Contemporary dance / Florwork-flow
A workshop focused on contemporary dance techniques, floorwork, working with dynamics upside down principles, soft landing.

Partnering
A workshop focused on partnering techniques in contemporary dance, working with weight with an emphasis on smooth transitions, mutual connection, soft landing, and mutual trust.

Physical Theatre / Courage on Stage
A workshop focused on the principles of physical theater, the basics of acting, stage movement and the work of body emotions.

Props / Objects / Costumes
A workshop focused on working with objects in physical theater, developing creativity, animating objects, manipulating, limitations or enlarging of the body, and using props as a source of inspiration in movement.

Physical Theatre / Voice
A workshop focused on voice in physical theater and contemporary dance, covering the basic principles and techniques that help connect movement and voice.

Visual art vs. physical theatre
A workshop based on the mutual interaction of the principles of visual arts and physical theater. Spatial perception, composition, theme, phrasing, and dynamics, sources of inspiration, creative drawing vs. movement improvisation. The program is intended for dancers, actors, visual artists, choreographers, dramaturges, and set designers. The ambition of the project is to find a common language and intersections in creation and to discover new methods and sources of inspiration.
